On the 11th and 12th of March, RAI Amsterdam will once again transform into a vibrant boutique hotel during the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam. The theme of this special fifth edition is 'Redefining Luxury.' From now on, you can register for this annual hospitality event.

Redefining Luxury
'This time, we have chosen the theme ‘Redefining Luxury,’' says Chaya Huisman of the Independent Hotel Show. “It’s a topic that is highly relevant in the hotel industry right now. The new generation has completely different expectations when it comes to ‘luxury.’ Instead of red carpets, gold taps, and turn-down service, they expect a more inclusive, social, and sustainable form of luxury. A personalized offering, with a strong focus on society, health and entertainment. This transition is quite challenging for many hotels. We aim to assist them by providing new insights during our extensive lecture and seminar program, showcasing the latest trends, and connecting them with passionate owners and representatives of top brands. Additionally, we offer space and opportunities for networking and knowledge sharing.'

Tailor-made solutions
'Hundreds of managers and owners of luxury hotels from the Netherlands, Belgium, and surrounding countries will gather at the Independent Hotel Show to seek inspiration from more than 200 suppliers. ‘From international brands like ASSA ABLOY and Geberit showcasing their latest innovations to hand-picked companies such as YesPlease for sustainable coffee solutions, Tas Design for branding, By Rockland for sustainable workwear, Douxe for luxury linens and bedding, and dEP, which helps hotels turn technology into experiences. Each of these companies can provide tailor-made solutions for boutique and luxury hotels, as well as for chain hotels that understand lifestyle hotels are the future. A highly diverse mix of hotel management systems, cosmetics companies, and top designers. In short, all the suppliers needed for developing a new hotel or updating an existing one.' Seminar Program
The seminar program always draws full audiences. For two days, various stages will host a wide range of insightful lectures, panel discussions, and workshops designed to equip hoteliers with tools to create a better guest experience, boost profitability, and stay ahead of the competition. This year’s speakers include Mike Rawson, CIO of the rapidly growing chain citizenM, Sem Schuurkes, co-founder of the innovative hotel concept CityHub, and Sylvain Floriant from STR. Trendwatcher Vincent van Dijk from HBMEO will open the lecture program with a talk on the central theme, Redefining Luxury.

Leading
In just a few years, the Independent Hotel Show Amsterdam has grown into a leading event for the hotel industry. All the key topics currently shaping the hospitality sector are addressed, from technology to design, from revenue and reputation management to branding and staffing, and from sustainability to social responsibility. ‘Independent hotels have gained significant influence on the hotel industry in recent years,’ says Chaya Huisman. ‘As demand for this type of hotel continues to grow, we see more and more chain hotels launching and acquiring boutique and lifestyle hotels. It’s an international trend that is rapidly expanding.'
